Confirm the destination before you ask for a quote
Kratom has been lawful to trade in Thailand since 24 August 2021 and is regulated under the Kratom Plant Act 2022. That is the export side. It does not decide your import. You have to confirm that import, possession and sale are lawful in the destination country, state and city, including any licence or registration your market requires. We may decline a destination where the goods cannot be imported. This page is commercial guidance from Kratom Thai Exports, a B2B export partner. It is not legal advice.
Write the specification before you write the email. For wholesale kratom that means the format: leaf, bulk powder, extract or a private-label pack. Then the details that change the lot: vein grade if you need one confirmed, mesh if it is powder, freebase or saltbase and the target if it is an extract, moisture, packaging, destination and estimated volume. A message that says “kratom, best price” does not give us enough to quote a minimum or a lead time.
Kratom Thai Exports was established in 2024. We coordinate Thai farms and partner processors. We do not publish supplier names, and we do not list prices. The quote, when it comes, is an email: minimum for that specification, lead time, Incoterms and pricing. We reply within one business day.
MOQ is not one number
There is no single minimum order. Leaf, 80–100 mesh powder, 200 mesh powder, freebase extract, saltbase extract, liquid extract and a co-packed unit each carry their own minimum, and the pack can move it again. Tell us whether you are asking for a trial, a repeat order or a container programme. A quote written for a sample is the wrong document if you wanted a full container, and the reverse is also true.
Trial lots are available and usually move by air. Repeat volume is often less-than-container sea freight. Full containers are for specifications that are already repeating. We will not invent a public MOQ table that pretends every format shares a kilogram figure. The number belongs on the quote for the goods you named.
Samples are a separate step. They are paid, and the buyer pays shipping. Approve the sample against the specification before you confirm production. A sample of one mesh does not approve another mesh. A sample of freebase does not approve saltbase. If you need your own laboratory to look at the sample, build that time into the calendar. We do not hold production open on an unspoken assumption.

The document set that should match
Kratom leaving Thailand needs paperwork that agrees with itself. Expect the licensed exporter’s ONCB export licence details and a shipment notification receipt. The notice is lodged at least seven business days before export. Quantity and lot numbers on that receipt should match the commercial invoice. Also expect a packing list and the air waybill or bill of lading. A certificate of origin is included where you or the destination needs origin stated. A phytosanitary certificate is included where the destination’s plant-health rules require one.
A certificate of analysis is available on request when testing has been agreed for that lot. It shows the panel you bought. It does not silently include heavy metals, microorganisms or a mitragynine result unless those lines were requested and printed. Match the lot number on the certificate to the invoice and to the bags. Your customs broker clears the goods on arrival. We do not replace your broker, and we do not file your import entry.
Check the description on every page of the set. The same product words should appear on the invoice, the packing list and the transport document. Incoterms and weights should agree. If a line is wrong, it is cheaper to correct it before the goods move than after a carrier has the shipment. The working checklist lives on how ordering works.
Lead time is a stack, not a single promise
Plan the calendar in stages. Sample approval is courier time, plus your laboratory if you test the sample. Production and any lot testing are confirmed per order. They are not a standing number of days on this site. The ONCB shipment notice is at least seven business days before a kratom export. Then freight. Then import clearance, which is your broker’s timeline and varies by country.
Published forwarder figures, which we pass on as estimates and not as guarantees, put standard air at about 6 to 10 days to the United States and direct sea freight from Laem Chabang to Los Angeles at about 19 to 24 days. Those figures are transit, not the whole lead time. They do not include production, the export notice, or clearance. A quote will put a dated plan against the specification. Weather, capacity and inspections can move a vessel or a flight. We will not call an estimate a promise.
Payment sits in the middle of the stack. Production starts after 100% of the production invoice is paid by bank transfer. Bank details travel with the confirmation, not on this page. We do not take a deposit with the balance on arrival.
What to send in the first email
Company name, country, the format, the grade or extract basis, estimated volume, destination, and whether you want a sample or a production quote. If you want a certificate, name the analytes. If you are packing under your own brand, say so and read the private label note before you assume bulk bags will do. Buyers are businesses, aged 18 or over: importers, distributors, brand owners and manufacturers. We do not sell to consumers. Products are not offered for human consumption where that is prohibited. Nothing in this guide is a health or medical claim.
